BRUSSELS - May 28, 2012 - Dr. Antoniya Parvanova, Member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria, was awarded with a unique medal by the leaders of the European Jewish Union (EJU) in Brussels.

The European Jewish Parliament (EJP) expresses its shock and deep sadness following the deadly anti-Semitic attack which occurred this morning against the Jewish School, Ozar Hatorah in Toulouse, France, killing Rabbi Jonathan Sandler and his two children Aryeh, 3, and Gabriel, 6 and the daughter of Ozar Hatorah's Director, Miryam Monsonégo, 8. EJP strongly condemns these barbaric acts of brutal murder of a Jewish teacher and of young innocent children, on their way to school.

A Paris university has shut its doors to keep out anti-Israeli activists.

Turkish E.U. Minister Egemen Bağış has met with the two Turkish-Jewish citizens chosen for the 120-member European Jewish Parliament, Cefi Kamhi and Vital Denis Ojalvo Öner.

Following is the full text of the address of MEP Antonyia Parvanova to the inaugural session of the European Jewish Parliament in Brussels on Thursday 16th February 2012.

The inaugural meeting of the 120 elected members of the first ever European Jewish Parliament (EJP), described as a new and innovative forum to voice the thoughts, beliefs and ideas as well as concerns of European Jews, took place on Thursday at the European Parliament building in Brussels.

The voting phase of The European Jewish Parliamentary elections has now concluded.  

We are glad to report that the first phase of the elections for the European Jewish parliament is an overwhelming success, with more than 550 candidate names already submitted from numerous countries in Europe.
