During her stay in Tel Aviv, Madonna has reportedly made regular visit to Tel Aviv’s Kabbalah Center, as well as conducting private Kabbalah study sessions, but she was apparently asked not to visit the graves of celebrated Kabbalists in Safed in a move that would have been considered “disrespectful”.

While the reaction to her arrival on Friday has been mostly positive, with fans and media alike camping outside her Tel Aviv hotel as well as rehearsals at Ramat Gan stadium where she’ll be performing, her trip has been attended with a degree of controversy, after one of her backing dancers Ali Ramadani, posted a picture of his visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem to Twitter, accompanied by the caption “I don’t want to say it’s in Israel, but Palestine, strength and honour”.

Bloggers have meanwhile greeted the presence of Madonna  and her entourage with enthusiasm, posting regular amateur photos and suggested song lists in lieu of any official set list.

Her Israeli-born manager Guy Oseary has, however, been updating her official Facebook page with rehearsal photos and regular tweets, which are being followed religiously by her fans who know he has a habit of giving away spare tickets to loyal followers.
