France new anti-Semitic tweets #adeadJew

The French Union of Jewish Students has reported a new string of anti-Semitic tweets only a week after forcing global networking giant, Twitter, to remove a series of comments containing racial slurs and jokes about the Holocaust under the hashtag #unbonJuif - #agoodJew by threatening legal action.

The new tweets reportedly contain the keyword #unJuifmort - #adeadJew – and many are even more offensive than those previously published.

The pressure group has said it intends to wait to see if the new posts are removed before taking further action. Twitter has so far refused to comment on the specific case, saying only that it would not mediate but could only delete the accounts of users who violate the law.
 
The Twitter scandal comes amid a surge in anti-Semitic attacks in France, which according to government statistics have increased by 45% on last year.
