As we approach the Jewish New Year 5773, we should celebrate our achievements as a Jewish Mishpuche (family).
We have a thriving State of Israel, vibrant Jewish communities Worldwide and we should acknowledge the invaluable Jewish contribution made to society as a whole.
Whilst recognising our achievements, we should also be aware of the tremendous challenges which lie ahead, in the coming year, including the Nuclear Threat posed by Iran and anti-Semitism in both its old-fashioned manifestations and its new guises, which unfortunately continues to present itself throughout East, Central and Western Europe.
We have to face both these challenges by calling on European Leaders to increase sanctions on Iran, and by demanding that European Governments act fiercely to root out all anti-Semitism through legislation, better law enforcement and education.
On behalf of the EJU President, Mr Igor Kolomoisky and the entire EJU Team, we would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you, your families and communities Shana Tova U’Metuka!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your devotion and hard work to promote Jewish life in Europe.
