Dear friends!

We are glad to inform you that 170,000 people have already cast their votes in the European Jewish Parliament elections, which are held online. This number exceeds our most optimistic predictions.

We would like to remind you that the process was as follows: The candidates either nominated themselves or were nominated by other individuals. According to the published regulations, the candidates can nominate themselves; and, indeed, such nominations came through from a large number of candidates, yet we did not implement any screening procedure.

As was already stated, given the large number of requests and the numerous voters, the elections will be prolonged until December 15^th. Until then, candidates are welcome to either register or withdraw their nominations.
