Sarcelles Jews worried following attack on kosher supermarket

The attack Wednesday on the Naouri kosher supermarket in Sarcelles, a Paris suburb housing an important Jewish community, continued to cause concern for the local community, despite the efforts of some to downplay its significance, following a series of Muslim demonstrations in light of a controversial film and cartoons mocking the Prophet Mohammed.

The EJP is seriously concerned about Anti-Semitism in France

The European Jewish Parliament (EJP) expresses its concern and anger in response to the anti-Semitic attacks that have occurred in recent days in France. Amongst them were the attack in Villeurbanne, where three students wearing a yarmulke were confronted by ten youths of North African origin who were armed with hammers and iron bars, the attack of a young Jewish man in Sarcelles by three assailants who hit him, stole from him and hurled anti-Semitic insults at him and a further assault in Marseille of three young Jewish people because one of them was wearing a yarmulke.
